WEST WINDSOR — An 18-year-old township man covered in “marijuana ‘kernels’” was arrested and charged after a traffic stop Saturday evening yielded marijuana and a fake driver’s license.
Township police Lt. Patrick O’Brien said that the man was driving on Millstone Road on Saturday around 9:40 p.m. when he was stopped for speeding by a police detective working on a DWI patrol.
“After stopping the vehicle and meeting with the driver, Det. Jelinski observed Marijuana “kernels” on the driver’s shirt and lap,” O’Brien said in a release. More marijuana was found in the vehicle, police said.
The man was arrested, searched and transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a fake New Jersey driver’s license and two motor vehicle offenses, officials said. He was released pending a future court date.
