EAST WINDSOR — A Linden man is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail after he was arrested with $3,600 worth of drugs by the Mercer County Special Investigations Unit on Monday.The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said a three-week investigation led to the arrest of Jimmie Lefebre Jr., 31, of Linden. He was driving along Old Cranbury Road on Monday when officers stopped the Mazda MP2 minivan he was driving. A search of the minivan turned up 60 grams of Ecstasy in the glove compartment, 40 Xanax pills in a sunglass compartment and $140 in cash in the center console, the prosecutor’s office said.
The drugs, cash and minivan all were seized, the prosecutor’s office said.
Officers said the estimated street value of the Ecstasy at $2,400 and the estimated street value of the Xanax at $1,200.
Lefebre is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and two counts of possession with the intent to distribute, they said.
He is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $100,000 bail.
