TRENTON — A city man who was cornered and shot in a Chambersburg alleyway Saturday night received a superficial chest wound from a bullet that passed straight through his left bicep, police said.
The 29-year-old victim was expected to survive his injuries, Lt. Steve Varn said. Officers were called out to Bodine Alley around 8:15 p.m. Saturday on a stabbing in progress and found the victim.
“The officers found out he’d actually been shot,” Varn said.
Police believe two men confronted the victim in the alley, with one of the suspects taking a handgun and firing a shot that hit the victim in his arm.
The suspects fled prior to police arrival. Investigators found nothing missing from the victim, leading them to believe it was not a robbery, Varn said.
Police described the suspects as one black male, average build, 16 to 17 years old, wearing a white hoodie and wielding a gun. The other is described as a black male, 20 to 22 years old, wearing a heavy coat.
