TRENTON — A city man riding his bike down a Chambersburg street was attacked and stabbed by a group of men yesterday morning, Trenton police said today.
The 59-year-old was on the 700 block of Anderson Street about 11 a.m. when a number of men appeared and assaulted him, stabbing him three times in the abdomen, Lt. Mark Kieffer said.
Officers on patrol responded to a reported stabbing in progress to find the victim and arrested Trenton residents Carlos Perez-Maroquin, 29, and Yovani Juarez-Cicpa, 20, for allegedly carrying out the attack, Kieffer said.
The two men were intoxicated and there is no clear motive at this time, Kieffer said. There may have been more men involved in the assault, he said.
The victim was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for observation and remains in stable condition, Kieffer said.
