Sports agent Marlon Sullivan, 29, was caught in an FBI sting operation buying 10 kilograms of cocaine, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.

WEST WINDSOR - A motel on Route 1 was the scene for the final chapter in a major FBI sting that involved arrests in California of a state senator and one-time candidate for mayor of San Francisco along with the leader, known as the Dragonhead, of the Chee Kung Tong crime organization.

The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force assisted the FBI and arrested 29-year-old Marlon Sullivan Monday morning, as he allegedly tried to buy 10 kilograms of cocaine from undercover FBI agents for $275,000.

Sullivan is a sports agent allegedly in the middle of the California murder-for-hire and gun running plot. A total of 26 defendants were arrested on both coasts, including California state Sen. Leland Yee, aka “Uncle Leland,” an unsuccessful candidate for mayor of San Francisco in 2011.

Yee's campaign fundraiser, Keith Jackson, also introduced an FBI undercover agent to Raymond “Shrimpboy” Chow, the Dragonhead, or leader, of the San Francisco-based crime syndicate, a federal criminal complaint said.

Their crimes also allegedly included trafficking in contraband cigarettes. The FBI alleged Lee solicited a $10,000 campaign donation in exchange for steering a contract so he could pay off debt he incurred while running for mayor.

Sullivan was charged with conspiracy to distribute narcotics, dealing firearms without a license, and murder for hire, according to a federal criminal complaint. He was arraigned in Trenton Wednesday before being extradited to California.

“I’m pleased my office had the opportunity to work with our federal law enforcement partners on an operation of this scope and magnitude, and I’m proud of their tremendous accomplishment," Prosecutor Joseph L. Bocchini said in a statement.
