TRENTON — A street fight outside a city bar Saturday night left a Pennsylvania man with a stab wound and a Trenton man in custody, police said.
The fight, which involved 15 or 16 people, ocurred at about 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Centre and Federal streets outside M&M Bar & Liquor Store, Lt. Steve Varn said today.
Authorities arrived to find a 37-year-old man from Levittown, Pa. stabbed in the abdomen, Varn said. The victim was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, he said.
A witness told officers investigating the incident that one of the men involved in the fight had a gun, Varn said. Police located a man fitting the gunman’s description on the 200 block of Hills Place, Varn said.
The man ran into a home upon seeing the police, but was apprehended soon after and police found a gun in his possession, Varn said.
The man, 36-year-old Trenton resident Brian Pisano, was charged with weapons offenses, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice, Varn said.
It is unclear at this point if he was directly involved in the stabbing that occurred, Varn said.
No one else has been arrested or reported injured as a result of this fight, he said. Detective Brian Wyszynski is investigating the incident.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call police at (609) 989-4170, or the Confidential Tip Line at (609) 989-3663.
