HAMILTON – Bandits who robbed $300 from a Quick Chek store on South Broad Street early this morning also took $9 from a customer, police said.
No injuries were reported, but the two men waved handguns threateningly as they burst into the store shortly after 5 a.m. The patron who was robbed had a gun pointed in his face, police said.
The suspect told him, ‘This is a robbery, I’m not kidding,’” Capt. Remo DiPaolo said.
The other suspect vaulted over the counter and took $300 out of the cash drawer, according to police. Both men then ran out of the store and in an unknown direction.
No shots were fired during the robbery. Full descriptions of the suspects were not available today.
Detective Leonard Gadsby is investigating. Anyone with information should call police at (609) 581-4008.
