EAST WINDSOR — A township man who allegedly pointed a gun during a neighborhood confrontation over noise Monday night was arrested by police shortly afterward.
William S. Warner was on Abbington Drive around 8:40 p.m. when the alleged gun brandishing occurred. No shots were fired, police said.
A man was speaking with Warner about a noise complaint when Warner pointed the weapon, police said. The victim was able to leave Warner’s presence unharmed, and a friend of his called police.
Officers identified Warner as the suspect and arrested him. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, terroristic threats, and aggravated assault, a common charge when guns are brandished, even if there is no gunfire.
Warner was released after posting $15,000 bail.
