Peter Plumb, 55, of Yardley, Pa., admitted to one count of second-degree sexual assault for touching the 39-year-old woman on two separate occasions
LAWRENCE– A Lawrence chiropractor pleaded guilty this morning to sexually assaulting a 39-year-old female patient at his office.
Peter Plumb, 55, of Yardley, Pa., admitted to one count of second-degree sexual assault for touching the woman on two separate occasions. He also pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact for inappropriately touching a 20-year-old patient when he put his hands down her pants in an effort to align her hips.
The assaults occurred between February and December 2012.
Plumb was arrested and charged in December at his chiropractic office on Lawrence Road and is free on $102,500 bail.
A call to Plumb’s attorney was not immediately returned.
He agreed to plead guilty to the two charges after negotiations with the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office. In exchange, Plumb will be sentenced to a five-year suspended sentence and will not be incarcerated, unless he violates that sentence. He will also be sentenced to parole supervision for life and must register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.
Plumb will be forced to forfeit his chiropractic license and be barred from holding any license in New Jersey in the future.
He will also have to undergo psychological evaluation to determine if he is a repeat or compulsive sex offender.
Plumb is scheduled to be sentenced on August 2.
