Osorio is charged with one count of criminal sexual contact in an incident where he allegedly placed a 60-year-old woman’s hand on his genitals on Nov. 23.
PLAINSBORO — Bail was cut in half Friday for a Princeton man and employee of the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro accused of sexually assaulting and inappropriately touching patients at the hospital’s emergency room.
At the request of his defense attorney, Middlesex County Superior Court Judge Diane Pincus reduced bail for Edher Osorio, 30, from $200,000 to $100,000 with no 10 percent option, said Jim O’Neill, a spokesman for the Middlesex County Prosecutors Office.
He remained in custody at Middlesex County Jail last night, a jail spokeswoman said.
Osorio is charged with one count of criminal sexual contact in an incident where he allegedly placed a 60-year-old woman’s hand on his genitals on Nov. 23. He is also charged with sexual assault in a fondling incident at the hospital in June. A 36-year-old woman alleged that Osorio fondled and inappropriately touched her while she was a patient in the emergency room.
The hospital said that it reported the June incident to police, but no charges were immediately filed and Osorio was allowed to return to work.
Osorio was arrested on Nov. 24 at his home. The investigation by Plainsboro police began after the 60-year-old woman reported the incident to them.
O’Neill said that the investigation remains ongoing.
