Trenton police say a city man shot through the lip Thursday night is being uncooperative with detectives, leaving authorities with an unclear picture of what happened.
TRENTON – A 26-year-old man was shot through the upper lip and lost several teeth while walking in his city neighborhood Thursday night, police said.
Police don’t have a clear picture of what happened to the man, because he was uncooperative when detectives tried to interview him, Lt. Mark Kieffer said yesterday.
The man was walking on East Hanover Street near the Academy Street park when he was shot. Afterwards, he fled into an apartment building near North Stockton Street and hid until police arrived.
Trenton EMS took the victim to the hospital, where he received treatment. Police are investigating.
