The 36-year-old man was struck in the torso, arm and leg, police said.
TRENTON — A man shot numerous times in the torso, arm and leg early Sunday is expected to survive his injuries, police said.
The 36-year-old city resident was walking with a woman on the 400 block of North Clinton Avenue around 1:30 a.m., Lt. Steve Varn said. At the intersection with Fillmore Street, they were approached by a suspect wearing a mask who said, “What’s up?”
The masked suspect pulled out a gun and began firing, striking the man several times, police said. The assailant fled and the victim was able to flag down a passing car to take him to Capital Health Regional Medical Center.
Medical staff at the hospital determined the man’s wounds were not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made. Police described the suspect as a black male, 5 foot 11 inches to 6 feet tall, of average build, wearing a black mask and dark clothing.
Detective Jason Snyder is investigating. Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call police at (609) 989-4170 or the Confidential Tip Line at (609) 989-3663.
