The assistant manager of the Lowe's on on the 3500 block of Brunswick Pike was zapped by a stun gun, police said. WEST WINDSOR — A Lowe’s assistant manager facing down a trio of shoplifters was zapped by a stun gun earlier this month, police said.
The incident occurred on May 11 just before 5 p.m. at the Lowe’s on the 3500 block of Brunswick Pike, when three people who had purchased a mailbox were trying to leave the store, police said. A member of the store’s loss prevention staff believed the two women and one man had been involved in an earlier shoplifting incident and brought the manager over.
The manager noticed the mailbox the suspects had purchased was in an open box and tried to stop the group, at which point the male suspect pulled out a pink stun gun, police said. While the manager argued with the suspects, the man activated the stun gun, police said.
The three suspects fled the store, mailbox in hand. The alarm at the entrance went off as they exited.
Police determined the suspects had also taken other items from the store.
The three suspects are described as a black male, of large build, 30 to 40 years old, wearing camouflage pants, a white T-shirt, a camo hat, and carrying the pink stun gun; a black female, of large build, 40 to 50 years old, wearing a white sweatshirt, pink pants, with long black hair with a red stripe worn in a pony tail; and a black female, of large build, 40 to 50 years old, wearing a white T-shirt and black pants.
