William Nobles, 39, checked himself into a crisis center in Camden County before the body of 54-year-old Celeste Pernell was found, police said today.
TRENTON - A Trenton man who checked himself into a crisis center in Camden County has been charged with murder in the death of his girlfriend, police said today.
Celeste Pernell, 54, was found dead inside the home the couple shared on the 800 block of Southard Street on Sunday afternoon. Earlier in the day, 39-year-old William Nobles had checked himself into the South Jersey center.
Nobles was subsequently charged with murder in Pernell's death, Lt. Mark Kieffer said.
Pernell's death is the city's fourteenth homicide of 2013.
