Two burglars took money from cash registers and broke open a safe, police said.
HAMILTON— Two burglars broke into a Dunkin Donuts and stole $7,000 sometime between late Sunday and early Monday, police said.
Between Sunday at 11:40 p.m. and Monday at 4:15 a.m., the burglars broke into the Dunkin Donuts on the 700 block of Route 33, police said. One of them pried open the drive-up window and let the other burglar in the back door.
In addition to taking money from the cash registers at the front of the store, they ransacked the office and opened a safe using some kind of cutting tool, police said.
A total of $7,000 was taken, police said.
