TRENTON — A city man walking through the Hanover/Academy section of the city was shot early Wednesday and received a minor wound to the hand, police said.
The 31-year-old victim was walking on Hanover Street near Montgomery Street around 12:30 a.m. when he heard several shots and felt a burning sensation on his hand, Lt. Steve Varn said.
Police said the man was struck once in the hand. He walked into Capital Health Regional Medical Center after getting a ride to the hospital, and medical personnel said he was going to be fine, Varn said.
No suspect information was available, and police do not know if the 31-year-old was the intended target of the shooting.
