Trenton has had 24 homicides this year, the same number as in all of 2012.
TRENTON — A man was shot and killed in the city at about 2 a.m. this morning, the Mercer County Prosecutors office said.
The shooting occurred at Brunswick Avenue and Southard Street. Police could not provide any details this afternoon.
The homicide is Trenton's 24th this year, the same number the city saw in all of 2012. The worst year for killings was 2005, when gang warfare contributed to a record 31 homicides.
