A 23-year-old Philadelphia woman who was struck by a car during a separate shooting incident Saturday night remains in critical condition, the prosecutor's office said.
TRENTON — Authorities have identified a Hamilton man who was stabbed to death yesterday in the city.
Abraham Jeditoe, 21, of Woodlawn Avenue was stabbed on the 300 block of Chambers Street around 8 a.m. Sunday, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.
A suspect has been identified in the killing, the office said yesterday. No arrests have been announced.
Jeditoe was one of four people killed in violence in Trenton over the weekend, including 22-year-old Hassan Allan, who was shot in an SUV which then struck two pedestrians.
One of the two women hit by the SUV, 23-year-old Carmen Wright of Philadelphia, was thrown and suffered head trauma, a pelvic fracture and organ bruising. She continues to cling to life in the hospital after undergoing emergency surgery Saturday, the prosecutor's office said.
Allen was shot in the neck and lost consciousness before the SUV crashed on the 1100 block of East State Street. The same shooting also took the life of 52-year-old Barry Church, a city resident who was an innocent bystander to the gunfire, authorities said.
In an unrelated attack, Nyquan Owens, 20, was shot to death on the 300 block of Brunswick Avenue early Saturday.
The weekend violence brings the number of homicides in the capital city 27 this year, compared to 24 for all of 2012. Trenton had a record 31 homicides in 2005.
All the cases remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (609) 989-4170, or the Confidential Tip Line at (609) 989-3663.
