TRENTON — A Ewing teenager who was charged with robbery and threatening two victims with a stun gun saw his bail maintained today for another alleged theft that allegedly took place one week earlier.Manuel Alicea Jr., 19, posted bail for the original robbery charge on June 7, but Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office spokeswoman Casey DeBlasio said Princeton police soon linked him to an earlier theft.
“Through further investigation, police developed information to charge Alicea with the theft of an iPhone that occurred on May 29,” DeBlasio said.
Alicea was arrested for the iPhone theft in July and entered the Mercer County Correction Center on Sept. 4 in lieu of making bail.
A Superior Court judge on Thursday maintained bail for the alleged May theft at $20,000.
Alicea and Trenton resident Antonio Lewis, 19, were charged with robbery on June 2 after they allegedly robbed a couple near the Princeton University campus, threatening the victims with a stun gun.
The suspects allegedly stole cell phones, a backpack, about $100 cash and souvenir gold coins during the robbery.
