Ruhallman Kearney was pronounced dead inside an abandoned house on Sanhican Drive after being shot multiple times, authorities said.
TRENTON — A man shot to death inside a West Ward home Monday afternoon has been identified as a 26-year-old city resident, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said today.
Ruhallman Kearney was pronounced dead inside an abandoned house on Sanhican Drive after being shot multiple times, authorities said. Police responded to the shooting after receiving a tip. Kearney was listed as a resident of North Westfield Avenue in the city, a side street of West State Street.
During an autopsy conducted on Kearney’s body today, the medical examiner’s office found several gunshot wounds to Kearney’s abdomen along with another wound on his right arm. The round in Kearney’s arm was non-fatal, but the bullets to his abdomen killed him, the prosecutor’s office said.
Detectives from the Trenton Police Department and prosecutor’s office are investigating the killing together as part of the new Mercer County Homicide Task Force. It is the first homicide investigation for the team since it was formed earlier this month.
