The victim was in critical but stable condition this afternoon at a city hospital, police said.
TRENTON - A man is in critical condition this afternoon after he was shot inside a West Ward home, police said.
The victim, whose age was not immediately available, was shot in the stomach by an unknown gunman, said Lt. Mark Kieffer, a police spokesman. The shooting happened inside a home on the 400 block of West Hanover Street around 1 p.m.
Police were on scene collecting evidence inside the house, where an attic window was missing and replaced with a black garbage bag and towels could be seen jammed in the frames of upstairs windows.
No arrests have been reported and no descriptions were available. Police were seen talking to and frisking a young man outside the home, but he was not placed under arrest.
An ambulance took the victim to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment, Kieffer said. The victim was reported to be in critical but stable condition this afternoon.
