TRENTON — A city shooting on the first block of Sanhican Drive Saturday night left a teen critically injured and two others hurt, police said.
Police were dispatched to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton at 9:11 p.m. Saturday on reports three males were shot and transported to the hospital by a “private citizen,” Police Lt. Mark Kieffer said tonight.
“Two of them were in the car and one was outside” at the time of the shooting, he said. “An unknown shooter opened fire on them.”
A 23-year-old man was shot in the left thigh, and a 20-year-old man was shot in the right wrist, the right side of his abdomen and right elbow, Kieffer said. Both men were seated in the car; their injuries were not life-threatening, he said.
A 17-year-old man who was standing outside the car was shot in the stomach and was in critical condition Saturday night, Kieffer said. After undergoing emergency surgery Saturday, he was listed in stable condition tonight, he said.
Full suspect descriptions were not available.
