TRENTON — A Trenton man was arrested Friday and charged with drug offenses following an investigation that also led to the seizure of about $10,000 worth of cocaine, officials said.

About 10 a.m. the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force raided the North Dean Street home of Mincey Edwards, 42, and arrested him without incident, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release.

Two small children found in the residence were released to a relative, and another man in the residence was released without charges, the release said.

Authorities searching the home found 100 grams of cocaine, 1 gram of marijuana, a digital scale and a backpack containing drug paraphernalia including acetone and small bags, the release said.

Edwards was charged with possession and intent to distribute drugs, maintaining a drug production facility and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release said. He is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $350,000 bail.

Lt. Mike Novembre commanded the investigation into Edwards, which included officers with the prosecutor’s office, the county sheriff’s office, the State Police and the Ewing, Hamilton, Lawrence and Trenton police departments. He said the estimated street value of the cocaine was $10,000.
