TRENTON — Police are investigating a shooting early this morning that left a city resident with non-life-threatening injuries.

Just before 3 a.m., an unidentified 19-year-old male was shot in the upper right shoulder while sitting on an abandoned porch on the 100 block of Spring Street, Trenton Police Lt. Mark Kieffer said.

The shots were fired by an unknown suspect possibly operating a dark-colored SUV with tinted windows, Kieffer said.

No further information was available regarding the shooting suspect, as the victim didn't recall much of the incident, Kieffer said.

The victim was treated at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton and released. He did not require surgery, Kieffer said.
