TRENTON — A city man was arrested last week in a drug bust that recovered nearly $10,000 worth of cocaine and marijuana, officials said today.
Last Friday afternoon, members of the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force arrested Raymond McMiller, 30, near his Grant Street home before executing search warrants on his apartment, the county prosecutor’s office said in a release.
A search of his apartment revealed 41 small plastic bags of crack cocaine and one plastic bag of powder cocaine hidden in a bleach container. Another 19 small bags of crack cocaine and a small amount of marijuana were found in the false bottom of a can located outside the house, the release said.
Officers also found about 100 grams of marijuana in a grill in the backyard and $4,000 in cash in the living room, the office said. A digital scale and plastic bags were also found outside the house. A search warrant was then executed for a 2004 Lexus 300 registered to McMiller’s mother, yielding eight more small plastic bags of crack cocaine and 26 small bags of powder cocaine, along with $66, the office said. The Lexus was seized as drug proceeds.
McMiller has been charged with multiple counts of drug possession, possession with the intent to distribute, possession with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park and possession with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, and possession of drug paraphernalia, the office said.
He is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $150,000 bail.
Lt. Mike Novembre, who headed the investigation, said the estimated street value of the cocaine and marijuana is $8,900 and $1,000, respectively.
