EWING — A township woman who received a call last week telling her she had won a lottery prize offered by two of the world’s richest men quickly determined it was a scam, police said.
The Gilmore Road resident was telephoned by an unknown party just before 8 a.m. Friday, and told she had won a $6 million lottery sponsored by Bill Gates and Donald Trump. To claim the prize, she was told to go to Rite Aid and there put $200 into a pre-paid Green Dot credit card, according to police.
Not fooled, the victim did not go to the Rite Aid and instead called police.
