The suspect was also wearing sunglasses and a brown jacket, the FBI said.
FLORENCE — A Roma Bank branch off Route 130 was robbed late this morning, police said.
No injuries were reported during the hold-up of the bank near Van Sciver Parkway, Capt. Brian Boldizar said.
The FBI said in a news release that a man entered the bank around 11:30 a.m. and showed a note to the teller. The note threatened violence, but no weapon was shown, Boldizar said.
The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled.
The suspect is believed to have worn a long wig during the hold-up, officials said. He is described as a black male, 5 foot 7 inches tall, of average build, wearing a brown jacket with yellow stripes and white sunglasses.
Anyone with information can call Florence police at (609) 499-2525 or the FBI at (973) 792-3000.
