Officers approaching Jordan Glennon's car could smell the odor of burnt marijuana, police said.
TRENTON – Tactical detectives last night arrested a 19-year-old city resident who was smoking marijuana and carrying a handgun, police said.
Jordan Glennon was spotted in a parked car on the 300 block of Rutherford Avenue around 8:45 p.m. by detectives from Tactical Anti-Crime Unit 2. He ducked down as the detectives, who could smell the odor of burnt marijunana, approached the car and told him to get out, Sgt. Tony Manzo said.
“As he starts to exit, he throws down a .25 caliber handgun to the floor board – he was trying to conceal it,” Manzo said.
Manzo said Detectives Matthew Przemieniecki and Miguel Acosta saw the feint and arrested Glennon. The gun and two grams of marijuana were recovered inside the car, he said.
Glennon was charged with possession of a weapon and possession of marijuana under 50 grams.
