The 26-year-old allegedly stabbed another man to death on the 300 block of Chambers Street Sunday morning.
TRENTON — A city man has been charged with stabbing another man to death Sunday morning and is being held on $1 million bail, police said.
Stanley Miller, 26, was arrested at police headquarters last night, Lt. Steve Varn said. Miller allegedly stabbed 21-year-old Hamilton resident Abraham Jeditoe on an East Ward street around 8 a.m. on Sunday.
"Right now, we believe it was a personal dispute" between the two men, Varn said.
Jeditoe was killed on the 300 block of Chambers Street. His death was one of four homicides over the weekend and the city's 27th this year.
Police have not announced any arrests in the other three deaths, but did say that a woman who was injured during a double homicide shooting on Saturday night continues to cling to life in the hospital.
Carmen Wright, 23, suffered head trauma, a fractured pelvis and other injuries when she was struck on East State Street by a runaway SUV driven by 22-year-old Hassan Allen, who had been shot in the vehicle and was pronounced dead after the crash.
The shooting incident that killed Allen also took the life of 52-year-old Barry Church, who police say was an innocent bystander hit by an errant gunshot. An 18-year-old man was also hit in the leg during the shooting.
Anyone with information on the homicides is asked to call police at (609) 989-4170 or the Confidential Tip Line at (609) 989-3663.
