EWING — A 23-year-old township man was shot at but escaped injury after fleeing an attempted robbery Saturday night, police said.
Gunfire was reported near Oak Lane and Pennington Road about 8:30 p.m. As officers went to the area, they received a report of a man banging on the door of a house on the first block of Florence Avenue, claiming he had been shot at, police said.

The victim took off running and the robber fired two rounds at him, police said.
