TRENTON—Ten days after he was placed on Mercer County’s Most Wanted list, Trenton resident Steven Koscielicki turned himself in at the Ocean County Courthouse in Toms River Wednesday morning, the county sheriff’s office announced today.
Koscielicki, 43, walked into the Toms River courthouse about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and turned himself in, according to the sheriff’s office. Later that day, he was turned over to Mercer County Sheriff’s officers and returned to Trenton.
“I would like to thank the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office for their cooperation in the apprehension of Koscielicki, and we are satisfied to return him to justice here in Mercer County,” Sheriff Jack Kemler said in a press release.
Koscielicki’s charges stem from the alleged theft of $4,300 worth of cigarettes from an employer on Feb. 24, 2013, in Hopewell, the release said. He had a bench warrant issued for his arrest by the Mercer County Courts on Dec. 16, 2013 for violation of probation, it said.
He is being held in the Mercer County Correction Center.
