TRENTON – Detectives are investigating three shootings on Friday and Saturday that left one person dead and three others wounded.
Officers responded to a call at 12:28 a.m. Saturday of shots fired on the 800 block of Quinton Avenue. The victim, a black male, later died, police Lt. Mark Kieffer said. There was no other information available at this time.
On Friday, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Brunswick Avenue and Vine Street at 1:54 p.m. The victims, a 22-year-old Trenton woman and her boyfriend were driving when another vehicle pulled up beside them and someone began shooting. The woman was struck in the head and bullet fragments were lodged in the outer part of her skull, Kieffer said.
She was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where the bullet was removed. She is in stable condition. Her boyfriend was not hit.

Another shooting occurred in the area of 305 Ardmore Ave. at 9:15 p.m. The first victim, a 26-year-old city man, was shot in the left side of his body. The shotgun was loaded with birdshot rather than buckshot, a type of ammunition that could have been fatal, Kieffer said. The second victim, a 48-year-old city man, was struck by ricochet from the shotgun blast to his right shin.
Both were taken to Capital Health Regional and are in stable condition, Kieffer said.
The suspect is an unknown person armed with a shotgun.
